they were told that it had to be changed for the remaing warranty to be valid in canada...
so its all done...they did flush trany, etc, new brakes, they couldnt put on a block heater but they did put on the heater pan.

why couldn't they do a block heater? I had one installed in my H2..

I just bought an imported 2007 H3 three weeks ago. I had contacted my local Vancouver hummer dealer and they told me the same thing. I need to convert the cluster for $515 plus tax and it will be sent to Alberta to do it.
I got this done and now I am in the GM factory warranty club <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... /smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
I didn't argue about the $500 as that's their policy if I want warranty. I just went along with it. Also I do like how I am able to read my speedometer in KM instead of miles.

Hi... hmm not sure why you had to pay for it to be converted...unless for me they included it in the price of the vehicle..hmmm...Nothing was mentioned it was just done so that I could have the GM warranty...
