How about a simple camping trip into McLean or something?

We definitely gotta talk on Saturday about what everyone wants to do. As disappointing as it is to learn about the weather Nick is definitely right. I still want to do Whipsaw BADLY but when is the question of the day!

Sounds like a plan!!

I really wanna go on a trip that will enable me to give this new locker a good run!

Thinking during Stampede.... tourists love to come here, Calgarians love to leave here.....

I used to love Stampede week; but all of the free breakfasts are now private, not free anymore or have some massive charity associated with them that pumps you for money while you wait in line.

The year before last when I declined to donate, I actually had a guy ask me loudly last year "So how does it feel knowing you are getting a free breakfast and somebody else is starving to death"... I told him "great, I am starving to death too"

There are alot of mouthy A-Holes in our world today... what keeps me sane is enhancing my literary techniques to demean their intelligence and question their genetic upbringing without them knowing it..... It usually isn't hard...

We have one in Tuscany each year that is free put on by our Association which is usually very nice other than that - I don't look for any others any more...

I used to have my entire week planned out... got a list of all the breakfasts downtown in advance and then picked the best ones to go to!

Every morning for the entire week I would have a stampede breakfast, those were the glory days!

So how does a tentative date of July 15th, 16th & 17th sound for everybody?

Leave Friday morning, arrive at the hotel/motel. Hit Whipsaw on Saturday, camp over night on the trail. Drive out on Sunday, check out the mining town & then head back to Calgary?

....just thinking how funny it will look with one of those small ferries loaded with Hummers <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />

FYI; CT4WD has started rolling on their Whipsaw trip plan for the past week or so, they have it planned for July 21-25

I'd be game for a whipsaw trip!

Havent done it in years, and the last time was with a 1/2 ton pickup...

Be fun to get the H1 out on it!

I am pretty flexible for dates to.

A buddy of mine ran it last year in a basically bone stock 1980 landcruiser and said it was pretty doable, but that there were a few tight spots that might give a fullsize a bit of an issue...

Sweet, the more the merrier!

Does anybody have input for the dates we want to hit?

The only time I can't go is the Canada day weekend
