Water leek

Post by Fantome »

I noticed a leek under the front end on the passenger side. I got under the truck to find were it came from and I saw it from a bushing on a shaft witch links to the table suspension and runs to the middle of the vehicule. The shaft was kind of hot. Is there something inside that shaft? I have to say that my AC is not in function when it leeks. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Not to worry, this is pretty common.

Basically when your AC unit is running (either for air conditioning or defrost) it will get condensation on the pipe and drip water underneath. Everybody has seen the water puddle under the car at one point and thought it was a leak!

Keep in mind that even if it is on the winshield air setting the AC unit will run automatically
