I just see it as improving it, increased ground clearance, Centered front diff with 4 equal half shafts so easier to carry spares. Upgrade the 95 drive train to the latest versions that are tougher. Also would allow me to upgrade the breaking system.
I completely agree with you that none of this is needed. But I don't think any of us bought H1s because we needed them. I bought it as a project to drive, enjoy, and tinker with. I probably won't start the tear down till the winter. But I will keep everyone updated as progress takes place.
