The start of the project.

I am planning on at about a year to finish this gem.

After looking closely at the frame and suspension, I decided to use the frame of a 96 Texas parts truck and build up.

Frame striped of brackets and non needed hardware, Wire brushing rust off frame prior to painting with either a good frame paint or POR15.
This truck will be nice but not a restore or show piece.

This is going to be cool. I did a full resto once on one of my wifes jeep TJ. Makes you feel good in knowing everything is good when your completed!

Keep giving us pics!

POR 15 or regular paint? Are you sand blasting or wire brushing?

POR15 , wire brushing most and sand blasting the really rusty parts, some new bolts...

I'm not familiar with paints, but I THOUGHT I read that POR was super great stuff for future rust ?

POR 15 is great stuff just expensive. I have never coughed up the money for it as i don't keep things long enought to justify it. Lol

The hummer might get it though if I see rust start!

Now to wire brush, blast as needed and paint. I kept the front sub frame in to keep frame aligned the best I can
